Pamela Michaels

Pamela A. Michaels, Esq. is an attorney and has acted as Senior Vice President of Asset Preservation, Inc. since 2004. Pamela specializes in guiding attorneys, CPAs, investors, financial advisors and other real estate professionals through the regulations and requirements of IRC §1031. Pamela dedicates a significant portion of her time to providing practical presentations to accountants, attorneys, real estate brokers and investors throughout New York and the Northeast featuring real-life exchange scenarios to illustrate a wide range of investment and tax strategies.

Prior to joining Asset Preservation, Inc., Pamela served as an executive and general counsel to diverse financial organizations and real estate companies. Pamela became known early in her career for her work out strategies in the commercial sector and was successful in assisting a number of financial institutions resolve their non-performing real estate portfolios during the S&L crisis. Pamela has a strong background in the operational, financial and legal aspects of real estate, including real estate acquisitions, financing, construction and sales.

Stephen Morton, Inyo Capital Management

Stephen J. Morton is the CIO of Inyo Capital, a quantitative global macro fund based in New York.  Steve developed the Inyo global macro investment approach based on extensive proprietary trading and portfolio management experience, coupled with an interest in modern portfolio theory and the benefits of diversification. He honed the methodology in the late 1990s, and initiated investing in January 2000. He managed the strategy at Natixis, one of the world’s 20 largest banks, prior to launching Inyo.

Before establishing Natixis’ global macro business, Steve was COO at Blackstone Bridge Advisors, Blackstone’s first hedge fund. Prior to joining Blackstone, Steve was responsible for the fixed income and currency businesses of the Tokyo branches of BNP and Natixis. Steve began his career as a market-making FRN trader for Salomon Brothers in London. He received an MBA in finance from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and his undergraduate degree in psychology from UC Santa Cruz. He completed a Fulbright Fellowship between undergraduate and graduate degrees. Steve is a Chartered Financial Analyst, has a black belt in aikido, and speaks French and Japanese.

Jenna’s background in strategic consulting for a range of institutional and private UHNW clients has given her a unique perspective on the sector, grounded in practical experience and characterized by relationships with a range of key actors.

She has a master’s degree in international peace and conflict resolution from Arcadia University, a certificate in international affairs and multilateral governance from Institut de Hautes Études Internationales et du Développement (Geneva, Switzerland), and a Bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College in French and Spanish. She is also a documentary photographer.

Vipin Nambiar – Managing Partner, HN Capital Partners
Vipin Nambiar is the Managing Partner of HN Capital, responsible for its strategy and execution. He has over 15 years of investing experience, investing over 2 billion in a variety of equity and credit instruments, as well as public and private real estate. Prior to HN Capital Partners, Mr. Nambiar was a Managing Director at Hunt Investment Group (the investing arm of the Hunt organization), focused on the direct investing component of the group’s portfolio. Mr. Nambiar led Hunt’s investments in India starting in 2012. Prior to Hunt Investments, Mr. Nambiar was a Vice President at Hunt Realty Investments Inc., where he was responsible for Hunt’s credit investments in real estate and also served as the Portfolio Manager for Presidio Investments. Prior to that, he was responsible for developing investment strategies, sourcing new operating partners and overseeing several of the firm’s operating company investments focused on industrial, multifamily, and hospitality investments. Mr. Nambiar earned his MBA from the University of Chicago, and an integrated Masters in Urban Planning & Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, where he attended on a fellowship award.
