Steven Jacobson, Art Collector

Art Collector

Graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School, former head of a large real estate law firm in Manhattan, and an art collector since 1970, Steve and his wife have built a collection that fills an apartment in New York City, a house in East Hampton, and a pied a Terre in Miami Beach.Collecting for Steve is an age-defying addiction that can be indulged without harm to you health if you watch what you spend.

The Jacobson collection includes artists from all over the world whose work provides a better understanding of the cultures we think about when hear the word ‘globalization’. For the Jacobsons, looking at art and collecting is a major enjoyment, not so much for the bragging rights of ownership but for pleasure they get from looking at and being surrounded by beautiful objects.
