This morning’s seminar/working breakfast will focus on the consumer market place lending space as an investment approach. Three approaches will be examined:
- alternative investment vehicles
- direct investments
- platforms with proprietary algorithms
Specific topics include:
- Overview of the consumer marketplace lending space, types of loans, ways to invest, clarifying the hot topics of loan stacking and fraud
- Advantages and disadvantages of the various approaches
- Concerns: Valuation, fears of defaults, what happens if we have another 2008, tax consequences, stability of investment/returns
- Outlook
